I grew up learning to love these islands

I was raised on San Cristóbal, the capital of Galápagos. I got here at six months old — my dad moved to the islands for work, and we stayed.

Just about my whole life has revolved around Galápagos since then: living alongside the wildlife, learning its different ecosystems, and understanding early on how much a place like this needs protecting.

I always wanted to show Galápagos to the world — not just the landscapes and the animals, but what it actually means to spend time in one of the most remarkable corners of the planet.

Zayapa is my chance to do it in a way that's a little different, and a lot more fun.
