Who's behind this

Built by someone who grew up on the islands

I'm Adrián, and I grew up on San Cristóbal, the capital of Galápagos. I got here at six months old, and ever since, most of my life has been tied to its wildlife, its ecosystems, and to understanding how much a place like this needs protecting.

I always wanted to show Galápagos to the world, and with Zayapa I finally can, in a different way. I want to help you find the islands, make the most of your days, look after your budget, and see more places and more species — without giving up the freedom to build the trip your own way.

I want to show you the corner of the world where I grew up, the way I'd show it to a friend.

Common questions

What everyone asks

Does it work without internet?

Yes. The place and species pages live inside the app. With the unlock you also download the full Galápagos map and use it with no signal, on a trail or halfway across the channel. Some photos do need a connection.

When does it launch?

Zayapa launches in 2026. Right now we're finishing the maps, the Galadex, and the last few features. Leave me your email and I'll tell you the moment it's live, with the launch price.

Can I use Zayapa before I travel?

Yes. It's built for both: planning the trip from home, and coming along once you're on the islands.

Does Zayapa replace a guide?

No. Some places and activities in Galápagos require a naturalist guide, and others are simply better with one. Zayapa helps you know what you can do on your own and when it's worth booking a tour or a guide.

What's in the free version?

A lot: all 267 places with their details and costs, the Galadex with 133 species, the park rules, the map whenever you have a connection, and one trip you can plan day by day.

The unlock adds the offline map, the local tips, and unlimited planning.

Why one payment instead of a subscription?

Because a Galápagos trip isn't a monthly thing. You pay once and Zayapa is yours for good, updates to details, prices, and schedules included.

Regular price: $14.99. Price in Ecuador: $5.99.

Are the tour and place prices up to date?

Zayapa gathers prices and practical details so you can plan, and the information keeps getting updated. Even so, an operator can change a rate without notice — treat them as a reference for building your budget.

How much does Galápagos cost on your own?

It depends a lot on how you travel, but going on your own lets you control the budget: you mix free-entry beaches and sites, local food, ground transport, and tours only where they're genuinely worth it. Zayapa estimates what you'll spend day by day, based on your itinerary.

Will there be an iPhone version?

Yes. Zayapa lands on iPhone and Android at the same time, with the same features on both.

Is it available in English?

Yes. Zayapa is complete in Spanish and English: places, species, itineraries, rules, and the planning tools.
